How it all started

It all started in 2011. I was in a minor altercation in a parking lot. I realized I was out maned, out  weighed and unprepared. The next day I joined a gym with a friend Eric Bowles and we lifted 5 days a week for 8 months straight. My original intention was to put on size. Which I did.....about 30 lbs. However when I saw my body change from the work I had put in I was hooked. When I realized I had gained probably 15 lbs of muscle and 15 lbs of fat I self educated myself aka "bro science". I later became a Nurse in Critical Care and saw how reactive we are as society and knew the way I could truly change peoples lives was how I changed my own. I wanted formal education to be able to really teach people that with proper nutrition and exercise we can be a society of not attempting to get back to a good baseline but rather excelling further than our wildest dreams. I became a personal trainer. I then formed Matt Lane Fitness.
